• Steady Shot
  Utilises Sony’s precision CCD technology in combination with built-in motion sensors to eliminate unwanted shake in your picture. Sony’s unique system uses lens mounted motion sensors to detect camcorder motion and over-sized CCD chips to bring unheard of smoothness to your footage.
• Hybrid 2.5” LCD screen
  A hybrid screen system is created from a combination of transmissive and reflective Liquid Crystals. The transmissive LCD operates via the back-light as with usual LCDs. However, if the back-light is turned off in bright sunlight, the reflective LCD captures and reflects ambient light allowing you to view the screen. The combination of systems allows you to comfortably view the LCD under all lighting conditions, and can also be used to save on battery power.
• USB Terminal
  USB (Universal Serial Bus) is a computer industry standard that is designed to simplify interconnection between digital equipment such as A/V devices and computers. It makes quality, higher-volume data transfer possible between your camcorder and PC, printer or other equipped devise via a simple, one cable (supplied) connection.
• Analogue in/out
  Increasing your creative possibilities, analogue in/out makes it possible to connect your camcorder to a range of analogue devices. Once connected you’re able to edit sounds and images between the two and produce original films with a personal touch. Also lets you preserve your analogue library by copying it onto a digital format.
• I.Link (MICROMV in/out)
  Allows high speed, bi-directional exchange of digital data with a PC or between two MICROMV devices equipped with i.LINK interfaces (IEEE1394-based). This digital-to-digital connection lets you transfer large amounts of A/V information at high-speed with no loss in quality. The MICROMV-in function makes it possible to save your edited movies back onto a tape in your MICROMV camcorder.
• Advanced ‘HAD‘ CCD Technology
  High quality Advanced HAD design CCD imager that reduces noise in the video signal to improve signal-to-noise ratio by up to 6db (2x better than a standard CCD). Particularly effective when shooting in dark situations.
• Multi Picture Search
  The MICROMV camcorders record scenes in files and automatically save a 0.8 second still photo at the beginning of each take. This allows easy drag and drop editing of your footage and provides a convenient thumbnail index to cue and review your shots quickly.
• PC Application software (MovieShaker TM + iLink cable)
  Thanks to MovieShakerTM software, it’s easy to re-arrange clips, add special effects, edit in smooth transitions or integrate background music and text. What’s more, MovieShaker even lets you select one of the pre-set moods – for example, adventure music and special pacing for added effect – and the user-friendly software does the rest. Simply connect the camcorder to your compatible PC or notebook with the supplied iLINK cable and start personalising your movies.
• Progressive Shutter System
  Sony’s Mechanical shutter system that utilizes an interlace scanning system to provide outstanding imaging performance. Scanning the CCD image sensor in one pass provides sharp, clear excellently defined images without the typical artefacts found in other interlacing systems.
